It was decided that ski resorts have to close their doors at 9:00 p.m. As of this time, uphill skiing and night hiking is no longer available.

You must also be back at your home by 9:30 p.m.

Attention!

Some sections of the uphill trails are located in the Mont-Orford National Park. If you wish to access these trails, you must also pay Sépaq access fees. For more information on these particular trails, visit the list of trails and uphill hikes.
If you’re already a Sépaq member, you only have to pay the daily access fees of the ski station territory.

Mont-Orford Territory Uphill Skiing tickets provide access to the entire network of trails located on the ski station’s territory only.
Sépaq Territory daily passes provide access to the entire network of uphill skiing trails located on Sépaq territory only.
To access all uphill trails and areas, located on both territories, you must pay both Mont-Orford Territory and Sépaq Territory rates.
Uphill Skiing daily tickets are valid for 24 hours from the time of purchase.

Purchase

You must be the appropriate age as of December 1, 2020, to participate. A valid I.D. for each participant is required to pick up daily tickets in person.

Restrictions

Uphill Skiing daily tickets cannot be resold or duplicated.

Refund/loss/theft

If lost or stolen, Uphill Skiing daily tickets cannot be replaced.
No exchanges or refunds.

Groomers operate every night from 9 P.M. and require the use of a winch, which poses a danger to skiers / snowboarders who come into contact with the steel cables. The cables are difficult to see and are used EVERYWHERE across the mountain and can be up to 1000 meters long.

Last ascent at 9:00 p.m., you must leave the resort by 10:00 p.m.

Safety rules and regulations

You must respect the Mont-Orford schedule and pre-determined ascent and descent zones at all times.
You must leave the ski station by 10:00 PM.

Always check and respect the opening status of the trails and designated areas before accessing the mountain.
Pre-season or post-season climbs are forbidden due to the potential hazards of snowmaking, grooming and maintenance operations.
It is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN to descend on ascent trails as well as closed or non-designated trails at all times.
If you encounter a snow vehicle (snow groomer, snowmobile) please wait on the side of the trail for it to pass
If you are on the trails outside operating hours, please only take the designated descent trails.
Always stay visible and climb in single file, never in rows of two or more.
If you are on the trails after 4 PM, please always stay visible. You must be equipped with a white front light and a red rear light.
Please always use uphill climbing skis or boards with metal edges, brakes and restraint straps.
The use of crampons or snowshoes is FORBIDDEN at all times on the ski station territory. They are only allowed inside the national park in certain designated areas.
No emergency services are available outside operating hours. Dial 911 in case of emergency. For more information on emergency services, visit the Emergency section.
Mont-Orford reserves the right to charge a minimum fee of $250 for all assistance requests made outside operating hours or outside marked and designated trails. A delay may be expected for any rescue following a report.
Do not leave behind any waste or trash on the trails. Be eco-responsible!
No animals permitted on the trails.
Respect the Mountain Code of Conduct at all times.

In case of emergency

During ski station operating hours (8:30 am –4 pm)

The ascent trails are NOT PATROLLED. First-aid assistance must be requested. Expect a delay.

For first-aid assistance during resort operating hours, report accidents to any ski patroller, Mountain Ambassador or lift operator. You can also stop at first-aid stations at the top of each mountain area and at the base of the mountain.

You can also call 819 843-6548, ext. 8448, to reach the ski patrol dispatcher to request first-aid assistance. 

Outside station hours - before and after operating hours (6 am - 8:30 am and 4 pm - 10 pm)

ATTENTION: LOW OR NO CELL RECEPTION ON THE MOUNTAIN.

No patrol services available. Dial 911. You are responsible for your own safety.

ATTENTION: Low or no cell reception on the mountain.

Before you leave, please make sure you are dressed appropriately, it is often colder at the summit.
Make sure you are in proper physical shape and have the appropriate clothing and equipment. Bring a whistle, food, water and warm clothing.
Do not go up alone: a group of at least 3 people is recommended and bring a fully charged cell phone. Please be aware that cell reception is not always available on the mountain and that the trails are not patrolled.
Knowledge of first aid is strongly recommended.

Daily ticket or season pass holders must respect the Mountain Code of Conduct. Code adopted under the Respecting Safety in Sports Act and applies to everyone practicing snow sports.
Stay in control of your speed and direction. Make sure you are able to stop on short notice to avoid obstacles or other people.
Yield the right of way to people downhill and take a direction that ensures their safety.
Only stop on a trail if you are visible from the top and if you are not obstructing the trail.
Yield the right of way to people uphill when you enter a trail and at intersections.
If you are involved in or have witnessed an accident, remain at the scene and identify yourself to the first-aid respondents.
Always have a proper device on-hand to avoid runaway equipment.
Keep off the trails or lifts if you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Obey all signs and warnings and never venture off the trails or onto a closed trail.
