solar eclipse at Mont-Orford

Monday, April 8, come experience a unique and rare astronomical phenomenon at Mont-Orford, where the total solar eclipse will last 3 minutes 28 seconds!

• Opening of the ski lift: 1 p.m.
• Last descent of the ski lift: 5:30 p.m.

Allow 15 minutes to climb to the top in addition to the waiting time.

• Start of partial eclipse: 2:16 p.m.
• Start of total eclipse: 3:26 p.m.
• End of total eclipse: 3:30 p.m.
• End of partial eclipse: 4:38 p.m.

• Alpine skiing: Giroux Nord will be open only from 8:30 a.m. to noon, for safety reasons.
• Uphill skiing: Alpine hiking will only be permitted on trails that will be open, see the conditions page.
• Hiking: As in the winter season, hiking will only be open from 4 p.m., on open trails, see the conditions page.

It will be possible to get to the summit only via the Hybrid lift, and without sliding equipment since the mountain will be closed to skiing.

Ski lift tickets are no longer available. The quantity was limited and we reached our maximum capacity. ISO 12312-2 certified glasses are still available, but these are also in limited quantities.

The glasses you purchase online will be available at the customer service counter starting Monday, April 1, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You will need to present your QR code received by email when purchasing online.

We recommend that you pick them up before the event date to avoid waiting time.
