Initiation Packages

Validity

• This package is available in consecutive days or customize during the season, depending on the customer's needs and instructor availability.
  
• The Mont-Giroux daily ticket is included in the Initiation Package.
• Ski or snowboard equipment rentals are included in the Initiation Package.
• Children must be at least 3 years of age at the start of the lesson.
  
  

Purchase and reservations

• Maximum purchase of three (3) days per person, per season, and per snow sport.
• Purchases must be made in person at the Snow School counter or by calling 819 843-6548, ext. 8356. No purchases can be made online.
• A valid credit card is required to make a purchase. In order to secure your reservation, the full amount will be charged at the time of purchase.
• Parents will be required to sign a Risk Recognition and Acceptance form. The link of the form will be sent by email along with the invoice.
• Taxes not included.
• Subject to availability.
• Rates and conditions are subject to change without notice.
  
  

Delivery

• To retrieve your equipment rental contract, go to the Snow School 30 minutes before the start of the Initiation Package. The departure point will be in front of the Snow Shcool in the main chalet.
• The Snow School counter is open every day during the ski season from 8 AM to 4 PM.

Restrictions

• This package only offers access to Mont-Giroux. A valid access pass is required to access Mont-Orford and Mont-Alfred-Desrochers for the remainder of the day.
• Purchases cannot be transferred from one person to another.
  
  

Refunds/credit

• The Initiation Package is only valid during the current season.
• Absolutely no refunds or credit is available.

Schedule and departure times

• The Initiation Package has fixed departure times.
• Lessons will begin on time. Please make sure you are at the slopes, ready to go at the scheduled departure time.
• If they wish to make changes, the client is responsible for notifying the Snow School no later than 7:00 AM on the day of the lesson. Outside opening hours, clients can inform the Snow School by leaving a voicemail or sending an email. Any demands made later than this deadline will result in a lost lesson.
  
  

Departure point and lessons

• The departure point for the Initiation lesson is in front of the Snow Shcool, inside the main chalet. The meeting point is in front of the Snow School.

Receiving your daily ticket and equipment

• A Mont-Giroux daily ticket is included in the Initiation Package and can be picked up at the Snow School.
• Ski or snowboard equipment rentals are included in the Initiation Package. Pick up your rental contract at the Snow School before going to the rental center.
  

Absent or late

• If you arrive late, the lessons will still end at the scheduled time.
• If you are absent, the lesson will be lost.

Lesson cancelation due to external circumstances

• The Snow School reserves the right to cancel any lesson if it deems the conditions to be unsuitable for snow sports.
• In case of a cancelation, a press release will be sent out by email before 6:30 AM on the day of the lesson. The information will also be posted on the website as well as on the Mont-Orford Facebook page.
  
  

Lift access

• A Mont-Giroux daily ticket is included in the Initiation Package. You can pick it up at the Snow School.
• Daily tickets or season passes are required and must be worn somewhere visible on the outside of the ski jacket to access the lifts.

• With the purchase of a 3-day pass, get a free equipment rental for the current season, 30% off your Giroux subscription for the current season and 15% on the Giroux subscription for the following season (on any sale price including pre-sale prices)
• 1.5 hour personalized lesson with a Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance (CSIA) certified instructor.
• No additional fees for the Mont-Giroux daily ticket and equipment rental.

• The teaching methods are based on the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance (CSIA) programs.
• Multiple teaching methods are used, including teaching through games and modeling.
• Learn basic skiing skills.
