Mythical since 1965!

At Mont-Orford, each slope has its own flavor, and that of the Alfred-Desrochers's slope is very unique. Those who have skied it since its opening in 1965, or even the most recent enthusiasts, will tell you that there is a charm that sets in when you sit down in its lift and hurtle down its snowy trails. This was the case when we sat in the little red double chairs, but even with the wind of change, the magic still happens.

NATURE LOSS OF SIGHT

After a few meters on board the lift, we rush into a dense landscape that makes us forget for a few minutes where we are.

The snow-capped trees follow one another to provide us with an enveloping winter environment that makes time seem to stand still or slow down… Seconds from your arrival at the summit, you will see the crest of an even higher mountain. Take the time to admire this magnificent landscape rising in front of you, a sign that you need to prepare your skis for the descent. If the temperature tells you so, take out your camera, it's a classic shot that our visitors like to remember!

The Slalom

One of the beauties of the slope is that its trails are quite accessible thanks to easy to intermediate levels. Not for nothing that families love them: children have fun while improving their skills, adults find a little challenge with the edges of the trails and above all, lovers of natural trails will want to descend the Cascade in a loop, which makes one of our must-haves.

Oh, we forgot: since this year, a brand new glade has appeared on the slope. We bet that the little ones will have a great time in the Petite Ourse... And the big ones too!

Discover the slope in uphill skiing

Since a couple years, uphill skiing has appeared on the slope. With now 2 paths in the woods and 3 ascent trails, we can say that Alfred-Desrochers is one of the favorites of excursionists.

The Alouette and its enchanting landscape, from its narrow natural paths to its particularly unique ice fall, leaves no one indifferent.

The Contour

During your ascent, you will cross, among other things, the territory of the Mont-Orford national park which gives us the chance to find ourselves in a grandiose and protected panorama: no houses on the horizon, just the noise of your ascent skins in the snow and maybe a few animals encountered along the way. Good ascent!
