Mont-Orford is once again investing $2 million in snowmaking for the 2024-25 season.
After having made a first phase of investments for the 2023-24 season, Mont-Orford announces a new phase of 2 million, thus totaling 4 million dollars for snowmaking.
Snowmaking is essential for ski resorts and we want to continue our investments in order to be well equipped for each of the seasons to come. What does it consist of? Check it out below!
New fixed snow cannons will be installed in the mountains to speed up and facilitate snow production and reduce the movement of equipment and employees.
More efficient and energy efficient, we are replacing one of our snow groomers for a brand new one!
Improvement of compressors and infrastructure allowing more significant snow production when temperatures are warmer, mainly at the start of the season.
This new tractor will allow us to clear all the slopes during the summer, which will greatly facilitate snowmaking in order to cover the vegetation before the ski season. Now, all trails will be cleared every year, rather than every two years since this process was done by hand in the past.
